Membership & Booking Questions

The easiest way to book into classes is through our Balance Lane App.

Yes! It’s always best to book into your classes in advance to reserve your spot. Please download the Balance Lane App to book.

Yes, we ask that you cancel via your Balance Lane App or website at least 30 mins before class is due to start. Please also consider that if a class has a waitlist and you cancel your spot last minute it leaves no notice for someone to take your spot.

  • Our Mums and Bubs classes are capped at 12 people.
  • You must supervise and attend to your child at all times.
  • You can bring a child of any age from six weeks, so long as you have received clearance from your GP or midwife to begin exercising.
  •  If your child is crawling/toddling we ask you to bring some toys/snacks to keep them entertained and remember to always keep an eye on them.
  • As we only have stair access, bringing a pram can be tricky. Our regular mums bring their buns in a capsule or bouncer and bring up a blanket or playmat for the to lay on.

Yes, to cancel your membership you have to provide two weeks written notice to info@balancelane.com.

It is possible to pause your membership for two weeks. Please write info@balancelane.com with the day you would like to start from.

Studio Etiquette

A smile, an open mind and some positive vibes.

We recommend you bring a mat, towel, and water.

We have a few spare mats if you don’t have one.

Wear something you feel comfortable in, gives you full range of movement and you don’t mind getting a little sweaty. Stretchy pants or leggings, singlets are all great options. Socks are fine too, but we recommend wearing ones with grippy bottoms.

The studio will be open 15 mins before each class starts. Please arrive no later than 5 mins before class starts so our teacher can check you in.

You will also have time to;

  • remove your shoes
  • silence your phone
  • set up your mat
  • grab equipment for class

All of our classes end with stretching and a moment of relaxation.  This part is just as important as your practice as it helps your body absorb all you have just done.

If you wish to leave sooner, please do so before relaxation begins.

Please also return any equipment you may have before leaving.

We do not have a creche for young children; however, children over the age of 12 are welcome to practice with the supervision of a parent.

Children between 12-17 can attend regular classes at concession price. This membership is not available online but can be organised in studio.  Please email us if you have any questions.

Studio & Location

You can find us at the Helensvale Plaza. Located upstairs on level one, access to the stairs is on the outside of the centre next door to Bendigo Bank and BWS.

Yes! There is lots of parking at the plaza!

We do not currently have shower facilities, but there are public bathrooms in the centre if needed to change and freshen up.

Health & Well-being

Whilst Yoga and Pilates can be beneficial in pregnancy, we recommend you seek advice from your health care professional.

All of our classes are suitable for beginners.  Our instructors are highly trained and will teach students various modifications during the class.

Absolutely! Be gentle with yourself and over time, your body will become more flexible with practice.

Please follow the health & guidance measures from Queensland Health

We ask that you do not attend class if you feel unwell or have cold and flu symptoms.
